gadjet — Tue, 06 Mar 2012 11:17:51 +0000

Hi all! As you may notice, this website is undergoing some changes to empower the user experience. Most of them lie beneath the website’s skin, but on the surface you can find a new player (homepage), a new store linked with CdBaby and the new tag cloud. This is just the beginning!

We thank a lot our friend Andrea for the great help and we welcome him on the Future Is Tomorrow family! You can follow Andrea on his italian blog “Francamente” as well as on his international blog “The Wise Ignorant“, where he shares a lot of thoughts, reviews and cool stuff! Highly recommended!

Stay tuned for more, new album updates to follow!

Sad news: Andrew “Mac” McDermott passed away

gadjet — Thu, 04 Aug 2011 17:20:35 +0000

These are things no one ever want to read… according to Blabbermouth, ex Threshold singer Andrew “Mac” McDermott passed away yesterday for “serious health problems”.

I’d like to share a little, personal memory with all of you.

Back in 2002 I knew Threshold but I wasn’t a big fan of the band. I had the chance to see them live, co-headlining the ProgPower festival in The Netherlands and during their show I started singing along “Turn On Tune In”, a song I really like from the album “Hypothetical”. Mac noticed it and waved at me, even if I wasn’t on the front lines. Right after this, the band started to play “Fragmentation”, from the album “Critical Mass”. I was so hooked by that song I looked for the merchandising store that was close to the stage and I bought the album before the song ended!

After that show, I became a big Threshold fan!

R.I.P. Mac, we’ll always remember you!

Featured heavy metal friends: Delirium X Tremens

gadjet — Sat, 11 Jun 2011 10:23:14 +0000

Hi to all the friends worldwide! Today I’d like to spread the word about a very good band from Italy: Delirium X Tremens. You could ask why I am suggesting a death metal band: it’s because they’re good friends and they seriously kick ass! Ciardo, the singer, appears also in our debut “Fit to Die” and is a very kind person with an incredible voice! We really look forward to working with him in the future, and to playing with Delirium as well!

The guys put a lot of effort not only in their music, but in the growth of the italian metal scene as well. They organize festivals and listening sessions where the bands can promote their albums. Yeah, they work really hard for the whole thing!

And more, they’re releasing a cd focused on the history and the tales of their mountains, which they love so much. I haven’t yet listened to it, but I really can’t wait! As of now, you can enjoy this teaser:

Teaser of the forthcoming Delirium X Tremens album: BELO DUNUM , Echoes From The Past

You may say that its sound is quite strange for a death metal band, and that’s why I respect them so much. Writing music just like mainstream bands do it’s too easy, you need balls to try something new! Delirium X Tremens are not scared of experimenting new sounds and new solutions. This is the REAL way to push the whole music one step forward.

The release date of “Belo Dunum: Echoes From The Past” is set on next October. Follow them on MySpace and Facebook. Support local bands. Support independent music!
